Sherlock Holmes Museum
When Sir Arthur Conan Doyle created Sherlock Holmes, he did not know that his creation would become so popular while eclipsing the popularity of one of his other creations, Brigadier Gerard.
Sherlock Holmes, who was supposed to live at 221B Baker Street, along with his best friend Dr. Watson; -from 1881 until the marriage of Dr. Watson in 1904- now has his own museum, which is situated in Baker Street but the number is 239.
Anybody who is a fan of the greatest detective of them; all would be glad to see Sherlock Holmes memorabilia, especially the chair which was used in one of the illustrations by an artist Sidney Paget, who was very popular and illustrated all of the adventures of Sherlock Holmes.
221 Baker St is a Georgian house, of which the first floor is still faithfully preserved in its entire Victorian splendour, along with the supposed furnishings done by Mrs. Hudson, the proprietor.
